GNM Nursing (General Nursing and Midwifery)

Course Overview
This program prepares students to become skilled nurses and midwives, equipped to deliver work as registered nurses an midwives. After the 3 years of coursework. Students complete a mandatory 6 month internship, after which they can work in a variety of healthcare settings. GNM graduates can work as  staff nurses in hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes or specialize in areas like ICU, pediatrics or midwifery There is also scope for roles such as Community health nurse, nursing tutor, and even self employment  as a home nurse or consultant.

Scope

• Primary healthcare centers, community health centers, district hospitals, and armed forces.
• Private hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, old age homes, orphanages, and various industries
• Can work as a home nurse or an independent GNM consultant

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must have passed Class 12 or anv other cquivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Must have English as a subject. Science strcam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is preferable.
• Applicants must be at least 17 years old.
• Clear the Entrance exam.
